Museum is situated up from the cafe in the old Loco Works and its free to enter but you can donate something towards... the upkeep, very informative of the local area with a large part of the area dedicated to the Tait paper mills which was the largest employer in Inverurie since the train sheds closed.read more

A very nice place for coffee or a more substantial meal. I had Christmas lunch with my work colleagues here and it was... delicious homemade fare. The portions were large, but not too large, and tge service was excellent. It's not expensive either. There's a very warm welcome.read more

Excellent place to visit, we specifically went to see an event, and ended up spending longer by visiting the rest of... the centre and staying for lunch (lovely bacon and egg roll for me). Will be back with more of the family as it's free to visit, but does rely on donations, so do donate as admission would be worth paying too!read more

Great place to check out local history, quite a bit of artifacts which show local support. Free admission is a bonus

Great experience, lots of local history and artifacts. Spoke to one of the volunteers, Ian, and found out so many... things about the Loco Works and local 'Colony'. Even then, just touching the surface. Had lunch in the cafeteria also. Entertainment available for our granddaughter also. She had asked to go back to do the 'toy hunt' again (it changes regularly).read more

Staff were lovely, taking time to show our wee one the coffee machine when it gave him a scare then helping him pick... out his own lunch. Lovely wee cafe, and the museum pieces upstairs are well worth a walk around. Definitely coming back here.read more

This is a great place to stop of a coffee, light lunch or delicious cake... The exhibits are good too. Some beautiful... wedding dresses from the 19th century. Friendly helpful staff and quality food.read more
